WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

Events at the Unity Village Activities Center

Opening Ceremony

Wednesday, September 8 | 7 p.m. CT Live-Streamed Event

Opening Ceremony in the Activities Center, featuring keynote speaker Rev. Paul Tenaglia, with music by the vocal ensemble Spiritus and very special guest singer Rosena Hill.

Rev. Paul Tenaglia is the founding minister of Unity of New York—A Spiritual Center for Creative Living, which draws members and attendees from the tri-state area and New England and has a congregation with over 60 percent working in the theatre, film and arts community. Paul’s credo is that each one of us is a Divine Artist/Minister with the power to create a healthy, prosperous and creative life—and helping others to know it as well.

Spiritus (Latin for “breath of God”) has been an integral part of the ministry at Unity of New York. The group was formed in 1996 by Rev. Paul Tenaglia as a part of his vision for ministry that includes the arts as an important element of the worship experience. Spiritus, under the direction of Britt Hall, has attracted its members from such places as the stages of Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional theaters. The group has recently released their second CD, We Are One, which is available in the Unity Village bookstore.

Rosena M. Hill, Unity of New York member and beloved vocalist, is currently performing in her eighth Broadway show, Come Fly Away, as the featured singer. Other Broadway roles include Lady of the Lake in Monty Python’s Spamalot, one of the Church Ladies in The Color Purple, plus roles in Oklahoma! Ragtime, Marie Christine and Riverdance. Rosena’s debut CD, If You Believe, has just been released.
