It’s almost time for World Day of Prayer! And the World Day of Prayer online prayer experience begins today. Thank you for your willingness to pray for the world community and for joining in this transformational event.

The link to pray online will be live through Thursday, September 10. You can log in to read names and pray for those individuals as often as you wish.

1. Prepare yourself for a time of prayer.
   The names on your computer screen will be continuously scrolling. Although the scrolling is at a slow pace, time may not allow for an individual prayer for each person. We suggest centering yourself; then, from that place of peace within, saying silently or aloud the names that appear on the screen. (For a better understanding of how to center yourself in prayer, read The Five-Step Prayer Process.) Participants at Unity Village often say a special overall prayer for everyone they’ll be praying for before they begin. A popular choice is the Prayer for Protection.

    

2. Log in.
   Click here to log into the World Day of Prayer home page. After you enter your username and password, click on "Pray With Us" in the left-hand column. When you click on the box that says "Begin Prayer" a window will open with the prayer player. (If you have a pop-up blocker installed, click “allow pop-ups from this site.”) 

    

3. Choose music settings.
   A musical accompaniment is part of the program and you may choose between acoustic guitar, piano or no music by clicking the buttons in the bottom right-hand corner.

    

4. Prayerfully reflect on the names that appear.
   As the names transition on your screen, either read them aloud or acknowledge them silently. This is your time of reflection so please do what is meaningful and comfortable for you.

    

5. Share.
   After prayerfully acknowledging names, we invite you to visit the forum to share your experiences with others.

When you are finished reading names, close the window. There is overlap in the system so any names appearing as you are closing the window will appear to others who are praying.
